Well, this is something new for me. I've never blogged before. Yes, I'm ancient. But what an awesome concept for keeping up with everything that is going on in everyone's lives. Who really has the time to just sit and chat, how sad is that.
We at the Wissler front are keeping very busy. Tyler & I are both enrolled in College Full time. He is at University of Phoenix and I'm at SLCC. I love it. I'm taking Math, not so fun, Bowling, fun, Digitial Media Essentials, my favorite, and a Marriage class, so, so. It keeps me very busy, as if the kids don't already do that.
Josh recently got a retainer and is wearing a funky looking reverse pull headgear. His teeth are moving rapidly, I can already see some improvement. He is excited to have normal teeth. I am home schooling him this year, what was I thinking??? It sucks!!! I don't know if he'll survive, I mean if I'll survive. He is the senior patrol leader at scouts and has only two more badges (the star and life) before he can get his eagle. He has a great scout master that really works hard with the kids. He is such a cute kid and I enjoy having him around.
McKenzie is growing up too fast for my liking. She is working for Tyler and I as a "maid" so to speak. She has wanted a cell phone since she was two and finally talked us into it. We have been so busy and so I told her that if she kept the upstairs clean, dishes, vacuuming, etc. that I would pay her 10$ a week and the if she wanted she could pay for a cell phone with that. Tyler and her have a family plan and the phone has been connected to her ear ever since. She is very responsible with the job and her phone and it makes it easier to keep track of were she is. She also volunteers for a lady once a week to watch her two kids. She doesn't have the money to pay for a sitter but has a church calling that takes her away from home on Wednesdays. Its a great experience and the kids lover her. She recently startedHip Hop and loves anything punk, pink skulls are one of her favorite. She just got her hair cut really short and it is so cute. I hate it, it makes her look older and I'm not ready for her to be older yet. Of course, her attitude tells it all, so I guess I've lost that battle. She's getting almost straight A's and I couldn't get her to miss a day of school even if she had a fever. So, all in all I guess I don't need to worry too much.
Maxx hasn't drank poison, had stitches, or broken anything in a while. We are watching him closely. He did sprain his neck pretty bad in the spring and is forbidden from jumping on trampolines, especially if a roof of a house or deck is involved. He wants a skateboard for Christmas and we live on a very steep hill, will I survive? I'm sure he will, I think he's has some kind of super healing strength or something. He is finally reading, yeah! He won't live with us forever. The other day when I was working he was writing me a note and asked Josh how you spell the work "you". Josh replied, with a slow "y", and before he could spell the rest of the work, Maxx exclaimed, because I want to right Mom a note and I don't know how to spell it. It was very funny. He is still a my "baby", 50% of the time. He still likes to cuddle, it just has to be on his terms. He is starting Karate next week and is very excited.
We don't have any plans to move anytime soon and we are still waiting on the sale of our other house. It has been almost two years and the people that are living in it still haven't found someone to finance the loan. They are taking good care of it. The grass looks great and replaced all the old cabinets in the kitchen with knotty alder pine. They are gorgeous. They took the old cabinets and put them in the garage which is also very nice. We love were we are at. It doesn't have much of a yard but we love living across the street from family.
We'll that is the update so far. I'll post some pictures when I figure out how to do it. Love to all!
Lisa
